We’re assisting a well-established agricultural company in identifying a Grain Accountant to join their small, close-knit office team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an agriculture-related accounting background who enjoys variety in their day and a collaborative work environment.
About the Role: This position will support the Controller with day-to-day accounting functions related to grain operations. It’s a hands-on role that involves working closely with a small office team (about 5–6 people), where everyone is willing to step in and help each other when needed. This is a team that values dependability, flexibility, and mutual support.
Ideal Background:
Prior accounting experience in the agriculture or grain industry preferred, but not required
Familiarity with grain scales, receiving grain, contracts, and basis terminology is a plus
Understanding of compliance and contract processes within ag operations
This could be a great fit for someone with past accounting experience who is re-entering the workforce and wants a stable, family-oriented environment
Compensation & Benefits:
$60,000-$72,000 depending on experience
