Senior Preconstruction Manager / Estimating Leader
A well-established and growing commercial construction organization is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts for complex commercial projects. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in early-stage project development, strategic budgeting, and guiding projects from concept through turnover into operations.

Responsibilities:
• Lead all preconstruction and estimating efforts from conceptual budgeting through project turnover
• Develop accurate conceptual and detailed estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project scope
• Coordinate bid packages, subcontractor/vendor pricing, site visits, and proposal development
• Partner closely with operations, project management, business development, clients, and subcontractors
• Develop and maintain preconstruction schedules to support seamless project execution
• Identify cost trends, value engineering opportunities, and process improvements
• Provide leadership and mentorship to preconstruction team members
• Support consistency across estimating and preconstruction deliverables
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of commercial construction estimating and/or preconstruction experience
• Strong background in conceptual estimating, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination
• Ability to read and interpret complex plans, specifications, and project documents
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of construction operations and project financials
Preferred Experience:
• Commercial, mixed-use, retail, office, healthcare, industrial, or large-scale construction projects
• Design-build or negotiated work experience preferred
• Experience with estimating and construction management software platforms
