Job Description

Seeking a full-time Partner Track Tax Manager to join our team.

The role involves establishing and managing workload priorities, preparing and reviewing income tax returns, as well as researching and consulting on complex tax situations.

Candidates should thrive on tax prep in a small, boutique practice setting. This includes wearing multiple hats to ensure timely addressing of clients’ needs, including client consultation, keying in, reciprocal review with colleagues, and client approvals. Collaborating with firm partners on tax planning strategies. Managing a client portfolio to ensure clients’ needs are met in the current tax year, as well as advising on future tax strategies.

Technical

• Experience with federal tax compliance and accounting, tax analysis, and tax research.

• Preparing and reviewing C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual, and multi-state tax returns.

• Experience advising clients on tax implications of business and personal financial objectives.

• Evaluating and recommending actions to lessen tax burden.

• Identifying methods of tax regulation compliance.

• Managing multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring successful project completion.

• Working knowledge of Lacerte Tax (preferred), Office Tools CRM (preferred), QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Online, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office. Soft Skills

• Acting as main point of contact for assigned client engagements; developing and maintaining rapport and trust to build long-term client relationships.

• Cultivating collaborative working relationships with all staff members.

• Meeting with prospective clients and providing clear, high-level written and verbal communication throughout all interactions.

• Ensuring high levels of accuracy, attention to detail, self-motivation, and meeting deadlines.

CPA strongly preferred
