A growing organization in the vocational truck and equipment industry is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee multiple operations with additional expansion anticipated. This individual will have full P&L responsibility and provide leadership across parts, service, operations, and sales support. The General Manager will be responsible for improving operational performance, developing scalable processes, strengthening management systems, driving profitability, and building a high-performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operational leader who understands the truck equipment/dealership environment and knows how to balance people, process, customer service, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own overall P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, expense management, variance analysis, and corrective action.

  • Lead and improve operational processes, workflows, staffing models, equipment utilization, and overall efficiency.

  • Establish and achieve key performance indicators across parts and service operations.

  • Drive profitable growth within parts and service.

  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, systems, and best practices.

  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, customer service, and profitability.

  • Monitor business performance, analyze trends, and develop action plans based on operational and financial data.

  • Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.

  • Serve as a senior point of contact for significant customer service, equipment quality, and operational concerns.

  • Partner with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve the overall customer experience.

  • Analyze inventory levels and utilization while helping ensure appropriate equipment purchasing and accurate inventory controls.

  • Recruit, develop, coach, and manage employees while establishing clear expectations and accountability.

  • Evaluate employee performance and provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and development.

  • Align staffing levels, labor costs, wages, and work schedules with revenue and operational requirements.

  • Develop strong market knowledge and maintain productive relationships with dealerships, vendors, service providers, and other strategic partners.

  • Partner with accounting and finance teams to resolve receivables and other financial matters.

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.

  • Support continued organizational growth and expansion.

  • The original role also calls for responsibility over budgeting, staffing, inventory management, financial statements, employee development, and strategic vendor/dealership relationships.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience within vocational truck dealerships, truck equipment operations, parts, service, equipment sales, or a closely related industry.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with responsibility for operational and financial performance.

  • Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Proven success improving processes, operational performance, and team effectiveness.

  • Experience leading and developing employees across multiple functions.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

  • Ability to travel as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of heavy trucks and/or truck equipment

  • Experience with dealership management systems, CRM platforms, and other business management technology

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline
