Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of litigation from inception through trial and appeal
Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
Prepare and organize trial binders, exhibits, witness files, and demonstratives
Coordinate and manage e-filing in state and federal courts
Conduct legal research and factual investigations as needed
Manage discovery, including document review, production, and deposition preparation
Track deadlines, maintain litigation calendars, and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
Coordinate with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel
Assist with trial preparation and provide in-court or war-room support when required
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in [practice area, e.g., commercial, employment, personal injury, complex civil litigation]
Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
Proficiency with legal software and e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, CaseMap, TrialDirector, LexisNexis, Westlaw)
Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet strict deadlines
High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
Trial and arbitration experience
Experience managing large-scale or complex litigation matters
Supervisory or mentoring experience with junior paralegals or legal assistants
