Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of litigation from inception through trial and appeal

  • Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence

  • Prepare and organize trial binders, exhibits, witness files, and demonstratives

  • Coordinate and manage e-filing in state and federal courts

  • Conduct legal research and factual investigations as needed

  • Manage discovery, including document review, production, and deposition preparation

  • Track deadlines, maintain litigation calendars, and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures

  • Coordinate with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel

  • Assist with trial preparation and provide in-court or war-room support when required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in [practice area, e.g., commercial, employment, personal injury, complex civil litigation]

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures

  • Proficiency with legal software and e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, CaseMap, TrialDirector, LexisNexis, Westlaw)

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet strict deadlines

  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • Trial and arbitration experience

  • Experience managing large-scale or complex litigation matters

  • Supervisory or mentoring experience with junior paralegals or legal assistants
