Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwork Shop Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of a busy custom millwork facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production, supervising shop teams, maintaining quality standards, and driving process improvements to ensure safety, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily millwork production operations and workflow
  • Manage production schedules to meet delivery timelines
  • Supervise and mentor carpenters, fabricators, and shop staff
  • Ensure all products meet quality specifications and standards
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks or inefficiencies
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, and procurement teams
  • Maintain inventory and oversee material handling
  • Enforce shop safety standards and conduct regular audits
  • Support team development, performance reviews, and training

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in millwork, carpentry, or woodworking operations management
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Knowledge of millwork tools, equipment, and production processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficient in ERP/production software and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and safety compliance

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, or related field preferred — or equivalent experience

Work Environment:

  • Based in a millwork shop environment with exposure to machinery
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work to meet deadlines
