Job Opportunity: Estimator for Custom Home Builder

Experience:

• 5-10 years required
• Spanish speaking is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Taking plans
• Doing take-offs
• Finding trades
• Preparing contracts for trades
• Interacting with the owner and CFO
• Bidding out projects
• Organizing projects
• Handling trade contracts
• Managing budgets and estimating
• Dealing with clients
• Sitting in on design meetings and change orders

Education:

• Degree strongly preferred, as it indicates initiative and goal-setting- NOT REQUIRED

Attire:

• Business casual

Software:

• No specific experience required, but proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Timberline, etc. is preferred
• The firm uses spreadsheets extensively

Industry Knowledge:

• Familiarity with the SC market is essential

Company:

• Custom home builder
• Custom homes range from $1.5-6M
• Renovation homes can range from $100k-2M
• Smaller firm with roughly 6 employees
