A leading precision gear manufacturer in the Chicagoland area is seeking experienced CNC Tooth Grinders to join a growing team. We are specifically looking for professionals with a background in gear tooth grinding — this is not an OD/ID grinding position.

If you have experience grinding precision gears and understand tight tolerances in a manufacturing environment, this could be a strong long-term opportunity.

What We’re Looking For:

• Hands-on CNC Tooth Grinding experience is required
• Experience with gear tooth grinding (NOT OD/ID grinding)
• Familiarity with Klingelnberg and/or Niles/Nap (Napp) gear grinding machines is highly preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, gear specs, and inspection reports
• Experience holding tight tolerances in a precision machining environment
• Strong setup, troubleshooting, and process adjustment experience preferred
• Background in gear manufacturing, aerospace, industrial gearing, power transmission, or heavy industrial machining is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC tooth grinding equipment for precision gears and gear components
• Monitor quality and make machine adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
• Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
• Collaborate with quality and production teams to meet schedules and customer requirements
