Overview:
Our company is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of construction equipment. This position requires regional travel and occasional travel across the U.S. The ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy machinery, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy construction equipment

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement solutions

  • Keep accurate records of work performed, including parts used and maintenance schedules

  • Coordinate with operations and project teams to minimize equipment downtime

  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in compliance with company safety and operational standards

  • Order and maintain parts inventory as needed

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in construction or industrial settings

  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems on heavy machinery

  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and service guides

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required

  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally and occasionally across the U.S.

Preferred:

  • Experience with a range of construction equipment types, including excavators, loaders, and haul trucks

  • Welding and fabrication skills a plus
