About the Role

We are working with a well-established and growing public accounting firm in the Greater Cincinnati area that is seeking an experienced Tax Manager. This is a leadership-level position offering the chance to manage your own client portfolio, lead tax engagements, and mentor junior staff while contributing to a collaborative, client-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns

  • Provide proactive tax planning and consulting to clients

  • Lead tax engagements from start to finish, ensuring compliance with tax laws

  • Independently manage a portfolio of clients, delivering excellent service

  • Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff members

  • Research complex tax issues and present practical solutions

  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships

Requirements

  • CPA or EA license required (active, in good standing)

  • 5+ years of progressive tax experience (public accounting preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, compliance, and planning

  • Ability to manage a book of clients independently

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in tax preparation and research software (Drake, CCH, ProSystem, UltraTax, or similar)
