Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee crews on a variety of excavation, earthwork, underground utility, and DOT projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of field supervision experience managing crews on projects involving earthwork, grading, stormwater systems, sanitary and water utilities, roadway construction, and other public infrastructure work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate field crews on excavation, earthwork, underground utility, and DOT roadway projects

  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements, including DOT standards

  • Manage schedules, resources, and equipment to meet project milestones

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and DOT representatives to resolve field issues

  • Conduct daily site inspections and maintain accurate project documentation

  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure all crew members follow OSHA, company, and DOT safety standards

  • Mentor and provide guidance to crew leads and field staff

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a superintendent or field supervisor in excavation, earthwork, underground utility, and DOT projects

  • Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, grading, utility installation, and roadway construction

  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and DOT guidelines

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
