Position Overview:

The Mechanical Engineer provides engineering, applications and client support. This is accomplished through the coordination of requests with the clients and internal engineering groups. Must be detail and customer service oriented with excellent organizational skills. Position requires a high level of correspondence with customers and vendors. Must be strong in Microsoft applications and be able to work well with others in a fast-paced and high volume environment.

Essential Job Functions

o Peer review of construction documents, generating RFI’s, product review and comparison, control sequences and operations support.

o Produce and review various deliverables in a timely manner to ensure projects operate as intended, including pricing and or pricing review, shop drawings review and or shop drawings, material data, samples, and product information for verification that the correct products will be provided for the client on the project.

o Product review and comparison, ensure application of products is correct for their intended use.

o Pre-construction and project management responsibilities.

o Manage multiple concurrent projects producing deliverables on time.

o Demonstrate technical expertise to develop credibility, loyalty and trust.

o Responsible for supporting accounting with all necessary project information and documentation.

o Attend customer meetings and jobsites visits as necessary.

o Support the clients and internal engineering with selection and pricing requests.

o Review and comment on project plans and specifications.

Requirements

o Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

o Knowledge of Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning systems, preferably with a background in designing HVAC systems.

o 4 years of relevant experience is required, consulting experience is a plus.

o Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills.

o Professional Engineer and or EIT/FE is a plus.

o Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, AutoCad and Outlook. Energy modeling experience is a plus.
