Field Engineer – Commercial Construction

A leading commercial contractor is seeking a motivated Field Engineer to support project teams across active commercial construction projects throughout the Bay Area. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a long-term career in construction operations while gaining hands-on experience in project execution, coordination, and field management.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn, with the ability to support field operations while working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

· Support daily field operations on active commercial construction projects · Assist with project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change tracking · Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors, and vendors · Review plans, drawings, and specifications for project accuracy · Conduct job site walks and assist with quality control efforts · Track project progress and support schedule updates · Assist with material coordination and delivery tracking · Ensure compliance with safety policies and job site procedures

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or related field preferred · 0–5+ years of experience in commercial construction, engineering, or project support roles · Internship or field experience within construction preferred · Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications · Strong organizational and communication skills · Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Procore experience is a plus · Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills · Willingness to work in a fast-paced field environment

Compensation and Benefits
