Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support our manufacturing facilities from our HQ. In this role, you will be responsible for budget management, month-end reporting, pricing, and promotional guidance. This customer-facing position requires strong financial analysis skills to conduct analyses supporting sales, payroll, plant metrics, and governance reporting. The ideal candidate will establish positive working relationships, understand customer needs, and deliver key financial insights to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Analysis: Utilize data analysis tools to assess plant performance and optimize efficiency strategies
- Financial Modeling: Analyze large data sets to deliver business insights and recommendations for leadership
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements and variance analysis
- Budget Management: Develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads
- Strategic Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis including cost analysis, pricing strategies, and ROI assessments
- Pricing Strategy: Recommend pricing changes based on ongoing data analysis and review with executive leadership
- Cost Optimization: Partner with the organization to provide costing/margin perspective for pricing decisions
- Performance Metrics: Provide insights on plant key performance metrics focusing on cost reduction and efficiency
- Project Support: Deliver analytical support for capital appropriations, new product development, and asset management
- Compliance: Support audit requirements and other ad-hoc financial needs
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of strong financial analysis, cost accounting, or general accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (MBA preferred)
- Experience in customer-facing financial roles with ability to establish positive working relationships
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple priorities and strong attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP system implementation
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally
- Self-motivated with robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across functional areas
- Critical thinking skills with ability to recommend strategic changes
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating high standards of integrity
- Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 based on experience
