Job Description

Gpac is working with a well-established growing meat processing company that is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all plant maintenance operations in NW Tennesee.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, driving preventive maintenance initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement across a busy, high-volume protein facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a multi-skilled maintenance team across all production shifts
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, troubleshooting, PM programs, and work order execution
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, HACCP, ammonia/refrigeration regulations, and plant safety programs
  • Manage maintenance budget, parts inventory, and contractor relationships
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and QA to maximize uptime and support production goals
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and improve plant performance
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and future facility enhancements

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership in meat or food processing (protein experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial troubleshooting background
  • Experience with refrigeration (ammonia), packaging equipment, conveyors, and processing machinery
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage KPIs, and build a culture of accountability
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, safety programs, and maintenance best practices
