The Trusts and Estates department offers personalized estate planning, administration, and related legal services, helping clients preserve wealth and ensure their legacy.

Position Overview:
Seeking a skilled Trusts and Estates Attorney to join their team at either the New York City or Uniondale, Long Island, office. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in estate planning, or an LL.M. in Estate Planning will be considered in lieu of direct work experience. The successful candidate will work closely with partners, handling all aspects of trusts and estates with a primary focus on planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and implement estate plans including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives 
  • Advise clients on estate and gift tax strategies 
  • Assist with estate and trust administration, probate, and related legal matters 
  • Collaborate with partners to develop innovative estate planning solutions 
  • Manage a diverse workflow efficiently, ensuring client needs are met in a timely manner 
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the firm’s Trusts and Estates practice

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in estate planning; candidates with an LL.M. in Estate Planning will also be considered 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities 
  • Motivated, client-focused, and team-oriented attitude 
  • Ability to handle a high-volume practice aiming for approximately 1740 billable hours annually
