Job Description

A full-service law firm with five offices across New York State, is seeking a talented and motivated Land Use Attorney to join their team at their Hauppauge, Long Island location.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will bring a strong background in land use regulations, zoning laws, and real estate development. You will collaborate closely with partners to assist clients—including developers, property owners, government agencies, and community stakeholders—in navigating complex legal issues to achieve successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in land use law, zoning, and real estate development 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects efficiently and effectively 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders 
  • Motivated to contribute to the growth and success of the firm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on land use, zoning, and development regulations 
  • Preparing applications, permits, and other documentation for projects 
  • Working closely with government agencies, community groups, and stakeholders 
  • Assisting in negotiations and resolving complex land use and zoning issues 
  • Supporting the firm's growth through proactive client engagement and legal expertise
