Our firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join a collaborative and highly respected litigation practice focused on complex business disputes and civil litigation matters. Responsibilities

• Manage complex civil litigation matters through all phases of litigation
• Attend virtual and in-person court appearances on a regular basis
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other court filings
• Conduct legal research and oversee discovery strategy and execution
• Take and defend depositions, participate in mediations, and assist with trial preparation
• Collaborate with attorneys during weekly case strategy and alignment meetings
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to a team-oriented environment
• Maintain a high standard of client service and case management

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Illinois Bar license in good standing
• 7+ years of civil litigation experience
• Prior Experience in any/all of the following preferred (construction, employment, and/or bankruptcy law)
• Strong experience drafting motions, pleadings, and court orders
• Prior courtroom and deposition experience required
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a litigation team
