Job Description

Position Summary: The Plant Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all manufacturing plant equipment, systems, and infrastructure. This role partners closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facility systems.

· Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.

· Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize unplanned downtime.

· Support production teams by identifying and implementing process improvements that increase efficiency and product quality.

· Lead or support capital projects, including equipment upgrades, expansions, and facility modifications.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

· Partner with maintenance and operations teams to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

· Manage engineering documentation, including drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance records.

· Research and recommend new technologies, materials, or methods to improve plant performance.

· Support budgeting and cost control for maintenance and engineering projects.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).

· 3–5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Strong knowledge of production machinery, industrial utilities, and plant systems.

· Proficiency with CMMS software and reliability-centered maintenance practices.

· Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

· Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment.

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders or stairs as required.

· Availability for on-call support and occasional overtime, weekend, or evening work.
