About Us:
We are a well-established law firm in New York, specializing in litigation and insurance coverage matters. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Insurance Coverage Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have expertise in insurance policy analysis, preparing coverage opinions, providing coverage recommendations, and drafting reservations and disclaimers.

Position Overview:
This is a great opportunity for a mid-level attorney to advance their career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex insurance policies, advising clients on coverage issues, and supporting litigation efforts related to coverage disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret insurance policies to assess coverage issues and provide coverage opinions.
• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, disclaimers, and related correspondence.
• Provide coverage recommendations and strategic advice to clients on policy interpretation and claims handling.
• Collaborate with litigation teams on insurance coverage-related matters, including the preparation of pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Manage insurance coverage cases from inception to resolution, including providing client updates and ensuring timely progression of cases.
• Represent clients in coverage disputes, including assisting in settlement negotiations and, when necessary, attending hearings and trials.

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage law, with strong expertise in policy analysis, preparing coverage opinions, and drafting reservations and disclaimers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex insurance policies.
• Highly motivated, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Additional Information:

• Billable hour requirement is 1800 hours annually.
• Attorneys who exceed 2200 billable hours will be eligible for a $30,000 bonus.
• First-year position is on-site in our New York office; hybrid work arrangement available thereafter.
