Maintenance Engineer in New York

Job Description

We are partnered with a well-established OEM manufacturer that is experiencing substantial growth. Due to this growth they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Take new product ideas and product support projects from concept to production by managing engineering project activities and priorities while coordinating with sales, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality.
  • Use engineering principles, proprietary design tools, and internal design criteria to develop new product concepts or enhanced features for existing products
  • Create 3-D models, assemblies, and 2-D prints as needed to validate concepts, detail designs, and communicate design intent.  
  • Specify and supervise product validation testing required to validate new concepts and designs including documenting test results of standardized tests.

    Mechanical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience working with mechanical systems
  • Experience with CAD systems, preferably Solid Works
  • Preferred experience with basic manufacturing technologies and processes
  • Familiar with engineering standards and work processes
