One of our top clients is seeking a talented Traffic Design Engineer to join their growing transportation department. In this role, you will play a key role in designing and implementing traffic control plans, signage, and pavement markings for various projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct traffic studies to analyze traffic patterns and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and design traffic control plans (TCPs) for construction projects, ensuring safety and minimal disruption.
  • Design traffic signal systems, including timing plans and signal phasing.
  • Design and specify signing and pavement markings in accordance with MUTCD standards.
  • Prepare clear and concise traffic control plans and design documents.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other stakeholders on project development.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest traffic engineering software and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • EIT certification or PE license preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in traffic engineering design.
  • Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficient in traffic engineering software (e.g., Synchro, MicroStation).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
