About the Role:
A highly regarded insurance defense law firm with deep roots in New York and New Jersey is seeking a Labor Law Attorney to join their growing New York practice. The firm is known for its litigation strength, national and international client base, and strong team culture. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility and growth for attorneys seeking to build long-term careers in complex defense litigation.
Key Practice Area:
New York Labor Law (Sections 200, 240(1), 241(6))
Construction accident litigation
General insurance defense litigation
What You’ll Do:
Manage a caseload from initial pleadings through trial prep
Draft motions, conduct depositions, and make court appearances
Engage with clients, claims professionals, and opposing counsel
Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
Ideal Candidate Profile:
JD from an accredited law school
Active license to practice in New York, New Jersey license a plus
Minimum 1 year of experience in insurance defense or construction litigation (Labor Law experience highly preferred)
Strong litigation, writing, and organizational skills
Compensation & Perks:
Base Salary: Starting at $115,000 (1st year) up to $175,000, depending on experience
Bonus Structure: Earn 50% commission on all billables over 1,950 hours annually

Hybrid Flexibility: 2–3 days in-office, with increased flexibility over time
