Job Summary: The Nurse Manager will be responsible for managing daily nursing operations, leading a team of nursing professionals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves coordinating patient care, implementing nursing policies, and supporting the overall goals of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure high standards of patient care.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and care plans in compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and make adjustments to care plans as necessary.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and foster professional development for nursing staff.
  • Manage nursing department budgets, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Address and resolve patient and family concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current and valid license in New York.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
