Drywall Estimator Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate project plans, blueprints, and other documentation to create accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to gather essential project details.
  • Determine materials, labor, and equipment needs, providing detailed breakdowns for proposals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing.
  • Present proposals to clients with professionalism and confidence.
  • Monitor and adjust estimates as project scopes evolve.
  • Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry best practices.

Qualifications for Drywall Estimator:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a drywall estimator or in a similar construction role.
  • A solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings with precision.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, along with proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
