We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Project Manager / Engineer to join our clients team. For this position the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of audio and visual systems, with the ability to design, implement, and maintain complex AV setups. This position does require a blend of technical abiliies and hands-on experience, helping to ensure that all audio-visual equipment operates at optimal performance for various events and installations. Duties for AV PM/Engineer:
Design and implement audio-visual systems based on project specifications and client requirements
Troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to AV equipment to ensure seamless operation
Maintain and repair audio-visual equipment, including cabling and schematics, ensuring all components are functioning correctly
Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to install AV systems in various environments
Provide field service support for installations, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients
Collaborate with team members to telecommunicate project updates and technical challenges
Conduct regular inspections of AV systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency
Requirements for AV PM/Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, audio-visual technology, or equivalent work experience
3-5 years of experience in project management within the audio-visual technology domain
AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification preferred. PMP or other project management certifications are a plus
Hands-on experience with AV hardware, DAS, Security, Low Voltage Structured Cabling
Proficiency with project management software and AV design tools such as AutoCAD, D-Tools, or equivalent platforms
Strong familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements for AV installations in every venue type: Healthcare, Commercial Office, Full-Building, Public Venues, K-12, Higher Education, Hospitality, and others
Proven creative problem-solving abilities, particularly in managing complex AV integration projects
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
Demonstrated success in managing AV projects from inception to completion within scope, budget, and timeline constraints
Willingness to travel as needed and ability to handle the physical demands of on-site work, including lifting AV equipment
