Senior Tax Manager

Location: Washington DC, DC

Overview

A leading national advisory, tax and assurance firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager in Washington, DC to deliver industry-focused tax advisory and compliance services to middle-market clients. You will lead client relationships, consult on complex corporate and flow-through matters and help grow the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters for clients ranging from middle market to multinational
• Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods and ASC 740
• Research tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries and make recommendations
• Coordinate with state and local, high-net-worth, international and other specialty tax teams on complicated matters
• Manage engagement staffing, billing and collections and meet profitability targets
• Network and build relationships to win new clients, projects and revenue
• Support the growth and development of team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, law or similar; master's or advanced degree desirable
• CPA or JD required
• 8+ years of federal tax compliance and consulting experience in a professional services firm
• 5+ years of supervisory experience mentoring associates
• Strong management, analytical, project management and communication skills
