Senior Tax Manager

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Overview

A large national accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager in Virginia Beach. You will manage clients’ tax compliance needs, anticipate tax and business issues, recognize planning opportunities and serve as the main point of contact for middle-market and high-net-worth clients.

Responsibilities

• Solve problems for middle-market clients in industries such as manufacturing, real estate and construction, and professional services
• Manage engagements and provide knowledgeable review of complex individual and partnership returns
• Serve high-net-worth individual clients with estate, gift and trust tax planning and compliance needs
• Lead tax staff, seniors and managers in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate superior client service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's preferred
• Active CPA license required
• Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience, including at least 2 years of managerial experience
• Strong understanding of C and S corporation, LLC and partnership taxation, with a background in pass-through entities
• Partnership experience in entity structuring, operating agreement review, allocations and partner transactions preferred
• Complex individual and estate tax compliance and planning experience a plus
