Senior Tax Manager

Location: Saint Louis, MO

Overview

One of the largest public accounting firms in the United States is seeking a Senior Tax Manager in St. Louis. You will manage tax compliance and advisory services for individuals, partnerships and corporations across a variety of industries, serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, and mentor and develop a high-performing tax team.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and advisory services for individuals (Forms 1040, 1040-NR), partnerships (Form 1065) and corporations (Forms 1120, 1120-S)
• Conduct in-depth research on complex tax matters and communicate findings through well-structured written reports
• Review returns prepared by other team members for accuracy and compliance
• Engage proactively with senior client stakeholders to identify tax issues and implement practical solutions
• Support client growth and retention through planning and business development, including proposals
• Mentor and manage tax professionals, providing coaching, performance feedback and career development
• Manage resources, budgets and workflows to deliver engagements on time and cost-effectively
• Contribute to thought leadership and lead internal training sessions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field; Master's preferred
• 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, or a combination of corporate tax and public accounting
• Current and valid CPA license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Flexibility to travel for client engagements and internal meetings
