Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of heavy civil and bridge construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role manages project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, field coordination, and client communication while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in bridge, transportation, or infrastructure construction and the ability to lead complex projects in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage heavy civil and bridge construction projects from start to finish
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost controls
- Coordinate field operations with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents
- Lead project meetings with owners, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders
- Prepare and manage RFIs, change orders, submittals, and pay applications
- Monitor project productivity, safety, and quality standards
- Track project progress and maintain schedule compliance
- Support procurement, subcontractor coordination, and material tracking
- Build and maintain strong client and team relationships
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil, bridge, or transportation construction
- Experience managing DOT, bridge, roadway, or structural concrete projects
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost management
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and field operations
- Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or MS Project preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
