Job Description

A community bank in Council Bluffs is hiring a Credit Analyst to support its lending team across Pottawattamie County and southwest Iowa. You'll work side by side with loan officers on underwriting and risk rating, with a clear path toward lending or senior credit.

Responsibilities:

• Spread and analyze financial statements for commercial and ag borrowers
• Assign and review risk ratings across new and existing credits
• Write clear credit memos that support loan officer recommendations
• Help with month-end, regulatory, and portfolio reporting
• Support loan policy compliance and exam preparation
• Assist in training newer analysts and lending staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
• 1+ years of bank credit analyst experience preferred
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
• Clear writer who enjoys working closely with lenders
• Interest in growing into a lending or credit leadership role
