Job Description

Job Title: Bilingual Dispatcher – Sand & Aggregates Industry MUST HAVE SAND/GRAVEL Dispatching experience

Our client is seeking an experienced Bilingual Dispatcher to join their operations team in the sand and aggregates sector. This full-time role requires someone with a strong understanding of logistics, a sense of urgency, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with drivers, customers, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and dispatch a fleet of trucks for daily sand, gravel, and aggregate deliveries

Maintain constant communication with drivers, customers, and plant personnel to ensure efficient routing and on-time delivery

Schedule deliveries based on customer needs, inventory levels, and truck availability

Monitor job site changes, delivery updates, and traffic/weather conditions to adjust schedules in real-time

Track and document load statuses, delays, and driver performance using dispatching software

Resolve issues quickly and professionally to minimize downtime and maintain service levels

Maintain accurate logs of dispatched trucks, delivery tickets, and customer requests

Assist in daily reporting, inventory tracking, and coordination with scale house and loaders

Qualifications:

Bilingual – Fluent in English and Spanish (required)

Previous dispatching experience in the sand, aggregates, or construction materials industry strongly preferred

Knowledge of DOT regulations and trucking logistics

Strong multitasking skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure

Experience with dispatching or fleet management software (e.g., Command Alkon, Tenstreet, FleetOps, etc.)

Excellent communication and organizational skills

High school diploma or equivalent (some college or logistics training a plus)

Preferred Traits:

Familiarity with local quarries, pits, and job sites

Customer-service oriented with a proactive attitude

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
