Drywall Estimator – Commercial Interiors
A well-established commercial interiors contractor in the Minneapolis area is looking for a Drywall Estimator to prepare competitive bids across drywall, metal framing, and acoustical ceiling scopes. You'll work closely with project managers and leadership on a steady pipeline of office, healthcare, education, retail, and multifamily work.
What You'll Do
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for gypsum board, light gauge metal framing, ACT, insulation, and related scopes using Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar software
- Review plans, specifications, and addenda to identify scope gaps, risks, and value-engineering opportunities
- Develop labor, material, and equipment pricing; solicit and level vendor and subcontractor quotes
- Prepare clear proposals with inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks, and build relationships with general contractors
- Support change-order pricing and hand off awarded projects to operations
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of commercial drywall, framing, or interior systems estimating experience
- Working knowledge of metal stud framing, ACT systems, and fire-rated and acoustical assemblies
- Proficiency with digital takeoff software (Bluebeam, OST, QuickBid, PlanSwift) and Excel
- Strong blueprint and spec reading skills with close attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines
- Field or project management background is a plus
