Senior Tax Manager - Construction

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Overview

A large national accounting and consulting firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager for its construction practice in Milwaukee. You will lead key client relationships, deliver strategic tax and business advisory services and help drive practice growth. The firm emphasizes flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Advise construction clients on strategic tax planning, consulting and business matters
• Lead complex tax engagements for contractors, developers and related entities, including multi-state compliance, long-term contract accounting and entity structuring
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide guidance on new legislation
• Manage and expand key client relationships
• Drive business development through networking, proposals and prospect activities
• Oversee engagement quality, risk management, profitability and timely delivery
• Mentor and develop managers, seniors and staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA required
• 10+ years of public accounting tax experience with significant construction industry experience
• Strong expertise in construction accounting, pass-through taxation, long-term contract accounting and multi-state taxation
• Strong communication, leadership and business development skills
