Litigation Associate Attorney – Construction & Commercial Litigation

Austin, Texas | On-Site Position

A highly regarded law firm in Austin is seeking a talented Litigation Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join its growing litigation practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated construction and commercial litigation matters alongside accomplished attorneys in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a top-tier law school

• 3–5 years of litigation experience

• Experience handling construction law and construction-related disputes

• Strong background in general commercial litigation

• Prior Big Law experience strongly preferred

• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills

• Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar

• Must be located in the Austin, Texas area and able to work on-site

• Remote candidates will not be considered

Responsibilities

• Manage and support complex construction and commercial litigation matters

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses

• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy analyses

• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials

• Collaborate directly with partners and clients on case management and litigation strategy

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive compensation structure consisting of a base salary plus quarterly performance bonuses

• Associates are generally expected to bill approximately 140 hours per month

• No formal billable-hour requirement

• Quarterly bonuses are based on collections and include additional credit for client originations

• Expected annual compensation for qualified candidates ranges from $250,000–$280,000+, depending on experience, billing, and collections

• Unlimited upside potential with no cap on quarterly bonus earnings
