Tax Senior

Location: Saint Louis, MO

Overview

A nationally ranked, fast-growing accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior as it expands into the St. Louis market. You will run client engagements from start to finish and supervise and mentor associates.

Responsibilities

• Run client engagements from planning through completion and manage to budget
• Supervise, train and mentor associates and interns; perform in-charge role as needed
• Review returns prepared by staff and recommend accuracy improvements and tax savings
• Prepare complex individual, trust, partnership, corporate and foreign returns
• Research and consult on tax matters
• Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries
• Identify tax reduction and savings opportunities
• Travel to clients occasionally

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's preferred
• 2+ years of progressive tax preparation and compliance experience
• CPA license or in process of obtaining
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ProSystem Engagement and CCH Axcess
• Strong tax accounting skills, including consolidated, partnership and combined state returns
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
