A national commercial general contractor with a strong DFW presence is looking for a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction efforts on commercial and interiors projects. You'll be the go-to partner for owners, architects and operations teams from early budgets through buyout, and you'll help shape how projects get won and built.
What You'll Do
• Lead preconstruction on commercial and interiors projects from conceptual design through GMP and buyout
• Develop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates and value engineering options
• Review drawings and specifications to identify scope gaps, risks and constructability issues
• Build and manage bid packages, solicit subcontractor pricing and level proposals
• Partner with business development on pursuits, proposals and client presentations
• Mentor estimators and preconstruction staff and hand off clean budgets to project teams
What You Bring
• 8+ years of preconstruction or estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
• Track record leading budgets and GMPs on commercial, office or interiors projects
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction costs and market conditions
Comfortable presenting to owners and design teams
Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software
• A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field is a plus
