Job Description

A community bank in Perry is confidentially seeking a Commercial Lender to grow business banking across Dallas County and central Iowa. You'll find new clients, underwrite and structure credit, close loans, and service a commercial portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new business clients through calling, networking, and referral partners
• Understand each owner's goals and match them with credit and deposit solutions
• Analyze business financials and judge creditworthiness on new requests
• Write credit memos and guide loan documents through closing
• Open commercial accounts and cross-sell treasury services
• Reach portfolio growth goals while keeping credit quality sound

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or Business is preferred
• Hands-on time in commercial lending or business banking
• Confident communicator and presenter with business owners
• Hands-on experience preparing proposals and underwriting loans
• Organized enough to keep several deals moving at once
