gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the West Palm Beach, FL area. Our client is seeking a Foreman to lead a field crew installing structural and miscellaneous steel.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct a crew of ironworkers and installers
- Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to drawings
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and deliveries with the superintendent
- Enforce company safety rules and site requirements
- Communicate progress and issues to field leadership
Position Essential Job Functions:
- Read erection drawings and lay out work
- Perform and supervise rigging, bolting, welding, and installation
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and pre-task planning
- Complete daily reports and time records
- Inspect work for quality before turnover
Position Skills:
- 3+ years of structural steel erection or ironworking experience
- Prior crew leadership experience
- OSHA 30 preferred
- Rigging and signaling experience; welding certification a plus
- Ability to read structural and erection drawings
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
