This PreK to 12th grade independent school is seeking an AI Education Innovator & Curriculum Integrator to transform how their students learn and teachers teach. They are seeking a visionary educator with expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) to research, select, and implement existing AI tools that personalize learning for students based on their individual capacities. This role also involves training faculty to use AI for creative, hands-on, and differentiated lesson planning, as well as customizing AI systems (e.g., Grok or similar platforms) to align with our school’s educational goals. Be a leader in shaping the future of education by bringing cutting-edge AI solutions to our classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Implement AI Tools: Identify and evaluate existing AI-based educational platforms and tools (e.g., adaptive learning systems, AI tutors, or content generators) to create personalized learning experiences for K-12 students, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles.
- Customize AI Systems: Train and fine-tune existing AI platforms (e.g., Grok, ChatGPT, or other AI models) to meet specific school needs, such as generating customized lesson plans, student assessments, or interactive learning content.
- Faculty Training & Empowerment: Lead professional development workshops to equip teachers with the skills to use AI tools for designing engaging, hands-on lesson plans, personalizing instruction, and streamlining curriculum development.
- Curriculum Integration: Collaborate with faculty to embed AI tools and concepts into the K-12 curriculum, ensuring age-appropriate, project-based learning that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and real-world problem-solving.
- Mentor Students: Guide students in using AI tools for hands-on projects (e.g., exploring AI-driven simulations, data analysis, or creative applications) to build digital literacy and inspire curiosity.
- Stay Current: Continuously research emerging AI technologies, EdTech trends, and best practices to keep our AI integration innovative and effective.
- Foster Ethical AI Use: Promote a school-wide culture of responsible AI use, emphasizing digital citizenship, data privacy, and ethical considerations.
- Evaluate Impact: Use data-driven insights to assess the effectiveness of AI tools, refining their implementation to optimize student outcomes and teacher efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Education, or a related field (advanced degree or equivalent experience a plus).
- Proven expertise in researching, evaluating, or implementing AI tools, preferably in an educational context.
- At least 2 years of teaching, training, or curriculum development experience, ideally in a K-12 or higher education setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to train faculty, engage students, and collaborate with school leadership.
- Passion for education and a clear vision for how AI can enhance learning and teaching.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience integrating AI-based educational tools (e.g., adaptive learning platforms, AI chatbots, or content creation tools) into classroom settings.
- Familiarity with customizing or fine-tuning AI models like Grok, ChatGPT, or similar platforms for specific use cases.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate pedagogy and differentiated instruction for K-12 students.
- Background in project-based or experiential learning environments.
- Understanding of learning science and how AI can enhance student engagement and outcomes.
- Experience in the EdTech industry or collaborating with EdTech providers.
