Position Title:
Project Director – Commercial Construction | Mission Critical (data center) Travel
Position Summary:
The Project Director is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic planning, financial performance, and successful execution of multiple commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership & Management
- Oversee a portfolio of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to Project Managers and project teams.
- Establish project goals, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Ensure projects meet contractual obligations, company standards, and client expectations.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Financial Management
Client Relations & Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Serve as executive point of contact for key clients.
- Participate in project pursuits, interviews, and proposal presentations.
- Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for repeat business.
- Assist in contract negotiations and project procurement strategies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive commercial construction experience.
- 5+ years in senior project management, operations management, or project executive leadership roles.
- Experience managing multiple large-scale commercial projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to lead teams and develop client relationships.

- Mission Critical/Data Centers (current project must be willing to travel or relocate temporarily to Iowa)
Comp:
- Base Salary: $180,000 – $275,000+
