Field Service Engineer – Packaging & Automation Equipment
Job Responsibilities
Install and commission automated machinery at customer facilities across the U.S. and Canada (paper bag machinery experience preferred)
Perform hands-on testing and adjustments to meet product performance standards
Provide on-site technical support, operator training, and system walk-throughs
Communicate effectively with customers to plan service activities and resolve issues
Complete detailed service documentation and travel reports in a timely manner
Collaborate with internal teams to improve equipment performance and customer satisfaction
Identify recurring technical issues and contribute to solutions and process improvements
Requirements
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with industrial equipment in a field service, maintenance, or plant operations role
Strong understanding of machine processes and troubleshooting techniques
Experience working with PLCs, drive systems, and automation components (Siemens, AMK, KEB, Festo, Rexroth, or similar)
Familiarity with pneumatic systems and mechanical assembly
Excellent communication skills and ability to train customer personnel
Willing and able to travel 95% of the time throughout North America
