Job Description

Field Service Engineer – Packaging & Automation Equipment

Job Responsibilities

  • Install and commission automated machinery at customer facilities across the U.S. and Canada (paper bag machinery experience preferred)

  • Perform hands-on testing and adjustments to meet product performance standards

  • Provide on-site technical support, operator training, and system walk-throughs

  • Communicate effectively with customers to plan service activities and resolve issues

  • Complete detailed service documentation and travel reports in a timely manner

  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve equipment performance and customer satisfaction

  • Identify recurring technical issues and contribute to solutions and process improvements

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with industrial equipment in a field service, maintenance, or plant operations role

  • Strong understanding of machine processes and troubleshooting techniques

  • Experience working with PLCs, drive systems, and automation components (Siemens, AMK, KEB, Festo, Rexroth, or similar)

  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems and mechanical assembly

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to train customer personnel

  • Willing and able to travel 95% of the time throughout North America
