This is an exciting opportunity for candidates passionate about collecting field survey data and who enjoy working in diverse outdoor environments. As the Survey Crew Chief, you will oversee survey crew operations, operate total station instruments, GPS rovers, and levels, and perform essential field calculations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Role Overview

• Supervise and lead survey crew work in the field
• Collect and process survey data for boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction layout surveys
• Perform basic field calculations and ensure accuracy of collected data
• Maintain compliance with surveying standards and safety protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in survey crew work or equivalent
• Proficiency in operating total station instruments, GPS rovers, and levels
• Competence in basic field calculations
• Leadership skills to supervise a survey crew
• High school diploma or G.E.D. required; formal survey-related training is advantageous
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and attention to detail
• Good moral character, clean driving record, and ability to obtain a TWIC® card

Physical Demands

• Comfortable working in outdoor environments with potential hazards
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb hills, traverse different terrains, and lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to work in various temperatures and weather conditions
