Job Description

A well respected law firm in Manhatten, NY is seeking an Appellate Attorney. This Attorney would be responsible for handling legal research, motion practice, and appellate work. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys strategy, writing, analysis, & legal research!

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in NY
• Experience with NY motion practice (Appellate experience preferred)
• Prior Civil Litigation or Personal Injury experience is a plus
• 3+ Years of legal writing and motion practice experience. Law review and or journal experience is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks

Responsibilities:

• Write & oppose motions in limine
• Conduct in-depth legal research
• Oppose summary judgement motions
• Write affirmative summary judgement motions
