Personal Injury Defense Attorney Position Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Personal Injury Defense Attorney to join our dynamic legal team.
- The ideal candidate will have expertise handling personal injury defense matters, with strong litigation and/or pre-litigation skills.
- This position involves managing a diverse caseload, providing strategic legal counsel, and representing clients in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel on personal injury defense matters.
- Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pre-litigation strategy, discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution forums.
- Negotiate settlements and work to resolve disputes in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other correspondence.
- Develop strategies to prevent legal issues and minimize exposure for clients through proactive counsel.
- Handle depositions, court appearances, mediations, and client reporting.
- Stay up to date with changes in personal injury and insurance defense litigation to provide clients with current and effective legal advice.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in personal injury defense or related litigation practices preferred.
- Proven ability to handle a full caseload with minimal supervision.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
- Experience handling bodily injury, premises liability, auto liability, or general liability matters preferred.
- Ability to provide clear, concise, and practical legal advice to clients.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Licensed in CA in good standing.
