Job Description

Step into a Business Development Manager role with an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector that pursues large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time, paying $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, with Midwest travel.

Core responsibilities

• Connect with Midwest general contractors and owners to bring in steel erection work
• Steer pursuits for structural steel packages on jobs of 5,000+ tons
• Monitor bid timing, competitor activity, and the Midwest project pipeline
• Advocate for an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and industry forums
• Travel the Midwest to keep pursuits moving and relationships strong

What we're looking for

• A business development or sales background in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Confidence winning large Midwest tonnage projects
• Existing relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
• Able to travel across the Midwest
• Persuasive communicator who closes pipeline opportunities
