EHS Engineer / Safety Coordinator – Commercial Construction

A leading commercial contractor is seeking an EHS Engineer / Safety Coordinator to support safety operations across active construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated safety professional to gain hands-on field experience while contributing to the development and enforcement of a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about job site safety, with the ability to work closely with field teams to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and promote safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

· Support implementation of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs on job sites · Conduct routine site inspections and safety audits · Identify hazards and assist in developing corrective action plans · Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies · Assist with incident investigations and documentation · Lead or support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions · Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation · Work closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to promote a safety-first culture

Qualifications

· 1–5+ years of experience in construction safety or EHS-related role · Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field preferred · Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices · Strong communication and organizational skills · Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment · OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) · CHST or ASP certification is a plus

Compensation and Benefits
