Hybrid - Middlesex County | $95,000 - $115,000

Overview 

The Claims Manager will lead a team handling workers’ compensation and injury-related claims. This role is responsible for supervising staff, managing claim operations, and ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of claims staff. 
  • Oversee team workloads and assign claims with clear direction and priorities. 
  • Manage a personal caseload while supervising overall team activity. 
  • Review open and closed claims to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to standards. 
  • Establish and manage reserve and settlement authority levels. 
  • Monitor workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency. 
  • Handle and track complaints through proper documentation and resolution processes. 
  • Communicate regularly with leadership on performance, metrics, and operational updates. 
  • Facilitate team and stakeholder meetings to align on goals and expectations. 
  • Contribute to process improvements, procedures, and departmental standards. 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in claims 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills 
  • Ability to train staff on technical claim handling topics.
  • Professional certifications or insurance-related coursework preferred
